Fake Diploma Case: Barış Sel’s Hearing Postponed to January 28
Barış Sel, who was arrested in March last year as part of the fake diploma investigation at Cyprus Health and Social Sciences University (KSTÜ) and later released on bail pending trial, had his hearing postponed to January 28.
Sel, the former Famagusta Police Chief, appeared before the Güzelyurt District Court today for the preliminary inquiry. The court adjourned the hearing to allow witness testimonies to be presented on Tuesday, January 28.
In the same investigation, Serdal Gündüz, the university's general secretary and one of its shareholders, also appeared in court alongside Sel.
Gündüz, who is being tried in connection with the fake diploma case, will face court hearings alongside the other suspects involved.
