Drunk Driver Causes Accident with 170 mg Alcohol Level

A traffic accident occurred early this morning on the Famagusta-Karpaz main road, resulting in no injuries but significant damage. The driver, Hamza Küçük, was arrested for driving under the influence.

According to the police bulletin, the accident happened around 03:00 when Hamza Küçük (37), driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level of 170 mg, was recklessly driving his vehicle with license plate UE 955. Upon reaching the Granel Roundabout, he collided with the HH 244 vehicle driven by Halil Özbay (27), who was turning in the roundabout at the time.

The impact caused Küçük's vehicle to spin out of control and crash into a wall surrounding a car dealership. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported.

Hamza Küçük was arrested for driving under the influence and causing a traffic accident. The police investigation into the accident is ongoing.
