Kombos Meets with UN Secretary-General Guterres
Greek Cypriot Foreign Minister Konstantinos Kombos met with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to discuss the next steps in addressing the Cyprus issue.
The meeting, held at the UN headquarters, focused on deepening existing humanitarian cooperation in the region and addressing matters related to the Cyprus problem.
Following the meeting, Kombos emphasized the unwavering commitment of the Greek Cypriot side to substantive negotiations. He reiterated the importance of aligning fully with the positive steps of the UN Secretary-General.
Kombos stated, “It is crucial to reiterate our alignment with the positive steps of the UN Secretary-General.” He further highlighted the significance of preparing thoroughly for upcoming informal talks and ensuring all parties contribute effectively to the process.
Kombos concluded by saying, “Our message is clear: We will fully align with the positive steps of the UN Secretary-General. This is our approach, and we will continue with this approach.”
