Following the committee meeting, Üstel emphasized that traffic inspections will be intensified and relevant units will be strengthened. He also mentioned that technical devices and vehicles will be provided to support these efforts. Various legislative amendments, including the 1974 Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic Amendment Bill, the Amendment Bill on the Transportation of Passengers and Goods by Motor Vehicles, the Amendment Bill on the Summary Proceedings and Penalty Points for Road and Traffic Offenses, and the Road Safety Amendment Bill, will be submitted to the Parliament.

Üstel highlighted that half of the fines collected from fixed radars will be allocated to the police force for traffic safety activities. He also mentioned that road improvements will be carried out, and radar devices will be installed where necessary. These decisions will be approved by the Council of Ministers and will be implemented urgently after being discussed in the Parliament.

Üstel also addressed issues with road lighting. He stated that while the lighting on the Girne-Lefkoşa road has been completed, there are still some areas with deficiencies. He added that, in cooperation with municipalities and the Electricity Authority, work will begin to improve lighting on roundabouts and main roads.

Traffic Safety Association President Mehmet Zeki Avcı stated that comprehensive measures have been taken to enhance road safety and prevent fatalities. Avcı emphasized the importance of strengthening the police force, intensifying traffic regulations, and making laws more deterrent.
