According to reports from Haravgi and other newspapers, the court ruled that there were no new factors warranting Aykut’s release during the hearing held in Nicosia (Greek Cypriot) District Court yesterday.

The court stated that there was no evidence suggesting Aykut had been subjected to inhumane treatment. Additionally, it was noted that an English doctor who examined Aykut and conducted a cancer test would allow him to receive treatment at any hospital of his choosing if the test result was positive.

The ruling also indicated that Aykut is scheduled to undergo an MRI scan in the coming days, and if necessary, a biopsy will be performed by Dr. Kirakidis at Nicosia General Hospital. Dr. Kirakidis, who has previously examined Aykut, is expected to make a final assessment following the procedure.
