In a statement, the People's Party emphasized that the legal process continues against the road tax increase, which they claim was implemented by the government in violation of the Constitution and laws.

The statement noted that the High Court had listened to the injunction request unilaterally in the first week of February, and the Attorney General's office will also be heard on behalf of the government in the coming process. It was also mentioned that the court will make its final decision on whether to suspend the implementation of the tax increase based on these evaluations.

The statement clarified that the injunction is a temporary measure, with the main goal being to establish that the tax increase violates the Constitution and laws and to have it canceled. Citizens were urged to pay the increased road tax until the court ruling to avoid late fees or traffic violations.

The statement concluded by emphasizing that if the constitutional and legal violations are determined and a cancellation decision is made, citizens should be refunded the difference or have it deducted from the next road tax. The People's Party will continue to inform the public about the lawsuit process at every stage.
