CTP Prepares for 29th Ordinary Congress with Unity

The Republican Turkish Party (CTP) is set to hold its 29th Ordinary Congress on April 6, with General Secretary Asım Akansoy emphasizing the party’s unity and cohesion ahead of the event.

Akansoy stated that CTP’s grassroots organizations have aligned around a single goal, noting that the completed congresses within party branches reflect a collective commitment to social change and progress. “As highlighted in our congresses, we are preparing for a new era that will bring fairness, inclusivity, and structured governance to our society,” he said, adding that CTP aims to increase its success in both presidential and general elections.
Akansoy underscored the significance of the April 6 congress, particularly in shaping the party’s approach to the upcoming presidential elections. “This congress will be crucial for party unity and the road to the presidential elections. CTP exists, and with it, a solution exists,” he said.
The 29th Ordinary Congress will take place at Atatürk Sports Hall, starting at 9:30 AM. Elections will be held for the positions of Party Leader, High Disciplinary Committee members, and Party Assembly members.
Party members wishing to run for positions must submit their candidacies in writing by March 7, 2025, along with a 50-word biography and a digital passport photo. Applications should be submitted to the General Secretariat or district offices.
Held under the slogan "We Exist, Solution Exists," the congress is expected to play a crucial role in shaping CTP’s political direction in the coming term.
