The protests aim to demand the closure of British military bases in Cyprus and prevent their use in supporting Israel’s operations in Gaza.

During the demonstrations, "Genocide-Free Cyprus" will present research based on flight data showing that British and American military aircraft have been using Larnaca and Paphos airports for operations, including direct flights to Israel.

The campaign is supported by several international peace and justice organizations, including CODEPINK, Genocide-Free Cyprus, Stop the War Coalition, and United for Palestine (Cyprus).

In addition to the protests, the campaign was officially launched on February 26, 2025, with a webinar discussing the role of British bases in regional military operations and their impact on Cyprus' sovereignty.
