Police Crack Down on Illegal Real Estate Brokerage: CTREA Applauds Efforts

With the enforcement of Law No. 62/2024, the Cyprus Turkish Estate Agents Association has commended the Famagusta Police Directorate’s Political and Financial Crimes Department for its decisive operations against illegal real estate activities.

The Cyprus Turkish Estate Agents Association (CTREA) has expressed its appreciation for the recent police operations targeting unlicensed real estate brokerage, emphasizing the significance of these efforts in safeguarding the sector’s integrity.
Following the enactment of the Cyprus Turkish Estate Agents Association Law No. 62/2024, law enforcement, particularly the Political and Financial Crimes Department of the Famagusta Police Directorate, has intensified its fight against illegal property dealings. The CTREA acknowledged the determination and diligence of the officers involved, extending their gratitude for the successful implementation of these measures.
Reaffirming their commitment to ongoing cooperation with the authorities, the CTREA highlighted the importance of sustaining such efforts to ensure a fair and regulated market.
