CTP Congress Set for April 6: Tufan Erhürman Sole Candidate for Party Leadership
The Republican Turkish Party (CTP) will hold its 29th Ordinary Congress on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at Atatürk Sports Hall. With a focus on the goal of "A New President, A New Government," the congress will see Tufan Erhürman as the sole candidate for party leadership. Additionally, CTP is expected to announce its presidential candidate during the event.
As the first political party of the Turkish Cypriot political movement and a pioneer in the struggle for peace and democracy, CTP has mobilized under the slogan "This country, this people will see better days" in preparation for the congress.
A total of 128 candidates will compete for 75 seats in the CTP Party Assembly, while elections will also be held for the General Presidency, the High Disciplinary Board, and Party Assembly membership.
The congress, which will commence at 9:30 AM, marks the beginning of a new era for CTP under the motto "We Exist, There Is a Solution."
