"Prices Lowered for Ramadan’s Blessings" Campaign Launched

Prime Minister Ünal Üstel announced the launch of the "Prices Lowered for Ramadan’s Blessings" campaign, aimed at reducing market prices and increasing the purchasing power of citizens. Under the campaign, all products will be subject to a 10% discount.

Highlighting the significance of the initiative, Üstel emphasized that the campaign, spearheaded by the Prime Ministry with support from the business sector, seeks to ensure an economically comfortable Ramadan for the public. He noted that key industry representatives, including the Turkish Cypriot Fast-Moving Consumer Goods Suppliers Association (TUTDER), the Dairy Producers and Importers Association (SÜİB), the Turkish Cypriot Butchers Association, and the Turkish Cypriot Fruit and Vegetable Wholesalers Association, have lent their support to the campaign.
Calling on all supermarkets to participate and adjust their prices accordingly, Üstel also urged citizens to be mindful of discount implementations. He further announced that the Ministry of Economy has been instructed to monitor compliance with the campaign’s regulations.
Stressing that the initiative is not limited to a one-month period, Üstel stated that efforts will continue in the long term to lower prices and stabilize the market.
