Hasipoğlu Re-Elected as UBP Secretary-General

Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu has been re-elected as the Secretary-General of the National Unity Party (UBP) after running unopposed in the party's internal election. Following the vote, UBP Leader and Prime Minister Ünal Üstel congratulated Hasipoğlu, who pledged to continue his service.

The UBP Central Executive Committee (MYK) and the Party Assembly (PM) convened yesterday under the chairmanship of Üstel to elect the secretary-general. As the sole candidate, UBP MP for Famagusta Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu was re-elected to the position.
The meeting, held at the party headquarters in Sarayönü, began at 3:20 PM and lasted for about an hour.
Hasipoğlu stated that all organizational elections had already been completed and that the Party Assembly had once again entrusted him with this responsibility.
Having served as UBP Secretary-General since 2021, Hasipoğlu remarked, “I have now been elected to this position for the third consecutive time. We will continue to serve our party, our state, and our people in the best possible way.”
ABOLITION OF PREFERENTIAL VOTING
Hasipoğlu also announced that the Party Assembly had unanimously decided to abolish the preferential voting system.
Additionally, he confirmed that he would travel to Geneva on Monday alongside Prime Minister Üstel.
