Soldier Ends His Life with Firearm in Famagusta
A soldier serving in Famagusta, Private Halil İbrahim Gündoğdu, ended his life with a firearm while on duty.
According to a statement from the Security Forces Command, the incident occurred on March 13, 2025, at approximately 20:55 at a guard post in the TIR Park area of Famagusta.
Authorities have launched both judicial and administrative investigations into the soldier’s death.
