Four Injured in Collision in Kyrenia

A traffic accident on Semih Sancar Avenue in Kyrenia left four people injured when two vehicles collided head-on. One of the injured was taken to a hospital in Kyrenia, while the other three were transferred to Nicosia for further medical attention.

According to the Police Press Office, the accident occurred around 11:40 AM when 26-year-old İrem Güngör, driving a vehicle with plate number RN 019, lost control while entering a rightward curve due to inattentiveness. Her vehicle veered into the opposite lane and collided with an oncoming VL 224 vehicle driven by 44-year-old Naci Akdeniz.

As a result of the crash, Naci Akdeniz was taken to Dr. Suat Günsel Hospital, where he remains under observation. The other injured individuals—Dilek Kuzhan (32), İrem Güngör, and passengers Bekir Kaya (23) and Veysel Tan (23)—received initial treatment at Dr. Akçiçek Hospital in Kyrenia before being transferred to Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital in Nicosia.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the accident.
