Damar’s post, in which he used threatening language against the KTOEÖS administration, sparked widespread backlash. The Religious Affairs Office later announced that a disciplinary investigation had been launched and confirmed his suspension.

In the controversial post, Damar stated, “When this mentality that insults my religion and doesn't even allow the state into schools dies, I will not allow them into the mosque. I will not recite their funeral prayer or lead the funeral.”

His post also included the following remarks:
“Those who oppose the headscarf are infidels. The funeral prayer of an infidel cannot be performed.”

The incident comes amid heightened tensions following KTOEÖS’s stance on secularism and the headscarf debate in schools.
