In a post shared on his personal social media account, Şenkul addressed the growing wave of online insults directed at Cypriots, calling for unity and respect. "Anyone who doesn’t carry love for humanity in their heart is not one of us—whether they were born here or elsewhere," he wrote.

Şenkul also evoked local symbolism in his message, comparing the people of this land to the resilient argasti plant. “Don’t be misled by its short height—its roots run deep,” he said, emphasizing the enduring strength and deep-rooted identity of the island's people.

His statement comes amid escalating tensions and divisive rhetoric, serving as a call for solidarity and mutual respect within the community.
